About Giraffe Bracing

Alain and Martin Drainville started their business in their father's garage in 1995 with one welder, making small parts for a local company, doing repairs and custom design work. Their business grew and within a few years they expanded and bought Prostamp, a small local manufacturing company with 3 employees in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

They quickly become well know for the quality of their work and creative solutions to difficult problems which brought an ever increasing number of new customers to their doors.

In 2003 their interest in ICF construction began when they watched a friend build a house with Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF). The build did not go well and some of the walls were left up to 3” out of plumb due to the bracing that was being used. They were convinced that they could come up with a better solution for bracing ICF walls and that was when Giraffe Bracing was born.

• 2003 - Sold the 1st sets of Giraffe bracing
• 2004 - added 20’ tall wall adapter kits
• 2005 - added their signature storage/shipping container forever changing how bracing was handled
• 2005 - exhibited at WoC in Las Vegas and solidified distribution arrangements with a number of ICF manufacturers
• 2005 - moved from their 6,000 sq.ft. building to a 10,000 sq.ft which they quickly outgrew
• 2009 - moved to a 45,000 sq.ft building and now employ over 25 full time employees
• 2022 – Prostamp became part of Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG)

 

Prostamp continues to focus on the design and production of value added products for the ICF industry making many different products for a number of ICF manufacturers including: wire truss Form Lock, ICF brick ties, Wall Vibrators for cordless drills, masonry scaffold adapters for ICF tall wall bracing, ICF wire clips, replacement parts for ARXX bracing ICF Jamb brackets, Sticky Straps, PT-Rim board deck bolts and the list goes on.
